Unwind in Attractive Places with Cheap Holidays to Tenerife
Visited by millions of tourists every year, Tenerife
is the largest among all the seven Canary Islands. One of the major reasons for
its popularity is the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which is among the
largest carnivals in the world. There are many other reasons as well, such as
the enchanting sandy beaches set amidst pleasant surroundings. Besides the
popular tourist spots of the island, you can also explore many other
interesting places in this part of the world. The remote villages on the
mountains, the intriguing ancient towns, and port settlements are some of them.
Your cheap
holidays to Tenerife would allow you to explore Teide National Park, which
is a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprising a large volcanic crater with a width
of about 10 miles. This volcano is located at a height of 12,198 feet above sea
level on Mount Teide, which is the highest peak in Spain. Teide National Park
is one of the oldest national parks in Spain. A visit to this park would allow
you to witness some surreal landscapes, comprising craters, volcanoes, and a
variety of flora and fauna. This park also offers some excellent services to
its visitors.
Located in the north-eastern part of Tenerife is
Parque Rural de Anaga or the Anaga Rural Park. It is a protected natural area
spread across a vast region including the dense jungles. It was declared a
biosphere reserve in the year 2015 and is home to Europe's largest number of
endemic species. Many tourists exploring the island make a trip to this park
owing to its fascinating natural features. During your visit to this rural
park, you'll also get the opportunity to swim in the waters of the Atlantic and
walk on the volcanic sand in certain areas.
One of the most remote beaches you'll get to visit
while holidaying on this island is Playa del Bullullo. Although it is located
in a remote area, it's relatively easier to reach by taking a small path from
Puerto de la Cruz. This beach gives you a wonderful opportunity to walk on the
black volcanic sand, while the rocks situated nearby offer a perfect backdrop
to the vast stretch of sands. Over the years, this beach has become a favourite
among surfers and canoeists owing to the large waves that the winds blowing
across the sea create. Although the beach has a tiny stall selling food and
drinks, it is advisable to carry your own food while visiting Playa del
Bollullo.
A small mountain village called Masca is yet another
beautiful place worth exploring during your time spent in Tenerife. It is
located in the Teno Mountains on a rocky plateau. During your visit to this
mountain village, you'll get the opportunity to explore a small museum and
indulge in an adventurous hike. Every year, several tourists enjoy the Masca
walk, which is a 4.5-kilometre stretch through a gorge connecting the village
to the sea. Many of them also take a walk from the village to the sea, after
which, they head towards Los Gigantes by taking a boat.
