Orlando Holidays Help You Explore Fantastic Attractions
Often
described as the 'Theme Park Capital of the World', Orlando is a city in the
Florida state of the United States of America (USA). The tourist attractions in
this part of the world draw over 75 million tourists from different parts of
the world. It is visited mostly for its magnificent theme parks. However, there
is a lot more to this city than just these theme parks and they are the
beautiful tree-lined neighbourhoods, museums, and a rich performing arts scene.
You'll also come across some wonderful gardens and nature reserves while
getting around in this American city.
The best
time to enjoy your Orlando
holidays is winter from December to February, but you'll have to book your
flights and accommodations several months in advance as this is also a peak
tourist season. If you visit during this time of the year, you'll get to enjoy
pleasant weather with comfortable daytime temperatures. Spring from March to
May is also a great time to visit this city as there are lesser tourists and
you can get some attractive discounts on the room rates of hotels. You may want
to avoid the summer season from June to August, as this is a peak tourist
season and the heat and humidity can be quite uncomfortable.
September,
October, and November are the months when holidaying in this city can be quite
risky owing to the possibility of hurricanes. However, if you're willing to
take the risk, you'll be rewarded with unbelievable discounts on airfares and
hotel accommodations. Besides the theme parks like Walt Disney World and
Universal Studios Florida, there are many other attractions worth exploring in
and around Orlando. Among them is the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex,
which allows you to see one of the well-known operations centres of NASA.
A visit to
the Orlando Science Center would allow you to explore many branches of science,
such as mechanics and biology. You can also browse a wide range of theme
exhibits. If you are travelling with your entire family including children, the
kids would have a wonderful time at 'Kids Town', a section available to
children who are less than 48 inches tall. They'll be entertained with some
fantastic interactive exhibits in this section. Dr Phillips CineDome is yet
another place where kids would have loads of fun watching laser shows and
films. Touring exhibits from various parts of the USA are also exhibited at the
Orlando Science Center.
Gatorland
is yet another thrilling place to visit for children as well as their parents.
It is home to thousands of crocodiles, alligators, and other reptiles. Some of
them participate in demonstrations and daily shows, such as 'Gator Wrestlin'
and 'Alligator Jumparoo'. You can also find the rare species of leucistic
alligators while exploring Gatorland. You and your family can also get to an
observation tower that provides awe-inspiring views of the breeding marsh and
surrounding areas. One of the most thrilling experiences would be a zipline
that runs over the top of the crocodiles and alligators.
